Youth Recycle Fundraiser

Take this opportunity to free up some space in your home to support our Unity of South Sound Youth going to Camps and other events!

Our youth will be rewarded with $1,000 if we can donate 400 13-gallon kitchen bags with recyclable items.

Accepted items include “soft goods” (clothing, bedding, linens), “hard goods” (kitchen ware, household items), toys, sports equipment and more.

Pick up a complete list at the Connections Table.

Please bring the bags of donated items to The Spire by Sunday, June 25.

Word Energetics Playshop
Our very own Lorian Collins leads a workshop based on her recently published book
Word Energetics, Saturday, June 17, 12:30-4pm at Wisdom U on Bridgeport Way in University Place.

Join Lorian for a fun, fresh, experiential playshop revolving around the principle that words carry energy, and in turn affect the way we feel.

Flyers are available at the connections table.

Bead Parties!

Join us for some fun and connection as we tie tags and ribbon to 1,440 strands of beaded necklaces that we will lovingly hand out at the “Tacoma Pride Festival” on July 8.

Circle around the beading table at the Spire on either/both Tuesday, June 20, 11 am - 1 pm, or Friday, June 23 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Sign-up at the connections table if you are interested!

"Art on the Ave" -  Sunday, July 9

“Art on the Avenue” is an annual music and art festival hosted by the 6th Ave Business District. Now in its 17th year and attracting thousands of patrons, it is Tacoma’s largest arts-based yearly event. This year’s festival will focus on the many styles and forms of expressions from Tacoma’s diverse city.
You can sign up for a shift at the Connections Table.

*Project Paintbrush
It’s that time of year again!
We are accepting sign-ups for this season’s Project Paintbrush, beginning on Saturday, July 15.
This is our 6th anniversary partnering with Associated Ministries and Paint Tacoma Beautiful to weatherize, paint, and transform the home of a low-income, disabled, or elderly homeowner in the Tacoma area.
There are several ways to participate:

  • Donate paint supplies - brushes, paint pan liners, drop cloths, or the use of a pressure-washer and/or ladders
  • Bring lunch for the paint crew
  • Stop by to offer encouragement and prayers.

Metaphysical Bible Interpretation

Facilitator - Rev. Jeffrey

Four Mondays, July 10 - July 31
7 - 9 pm at The Spire.

What does the Tower of Babel symbolize?
What is the Tree of Life?
Learn how to look at the “Old Testament” metaphysically by drawing upon your own innate spiritual wisdom.

Metaphysical Bible Interpretation will give you the tools to make meaningful and positive interpretations of ancient stories and practically apply them to your life today.
This class brings clarity, depth, healing, and a fresh look at the Bible.
Sign up at the Connections Table for this four week class.
