Congregational Care Team
In keeping with the values we have of serving others, living the truths we know, and taking action on them, a group of volunteers has formed to provide assistance and comfort to individual congregants with urgent, temporary needs.  The “Congregational Care Team” offers:
    *Temporary assistance for a person with an acute illness
    *Delivery of resources and supplies
    *Driving congregant to an appointment or other destination
    *Providing moral support in difficult times

Women’s “Circle of Friends” April Meeting

6:30 pm. - Greeting and Snacks    Meeting: 7 - 8:30 pm.
La Donna Peterson will speak on Lifelong Health and Vitality. Multiple topics will be discussed. Everyone will be able to identify with at least one idea she would like to incorporate into her life.

Women’s “Circle of Friends” Retreat

The Annual Women's Retreat is Friday-Sunday, May 18-20 at The Lodge at Mount Rainier. 
Every retreat is unique and shares the qualities of Sisterhood, Spirit, and Connection.
The cost is $100. Women will plan and prepare meals together.

Support Kids' Camps
Our Youth are collecting your recyclable “give away” items which will be donated to Value Village on Earth Day, April 22. 
Bring items in plastic bags to the Spire on Sundays. 
The goal is to collect 400 bags/boxes. The "reward" will be $1,000 from Value Village, which will fund youth activities, camps, etc.

Membership Class
We are now accepting U.S.S. membership applications!
Rev. Jeffrey offers our Spring membership class on Monday and Tuesday, April 23 and 24, from 7 - 9 pm at the Spire. 
This two-part class is required for anyone wishing to become a member of Unity of South Sound. Sign up at the Connections Table.

New "Men’s Group" and NW Regional Men's Retreat

The first meeting of our new Men’s Group is scheduled for  Sunday, April 22 after hospitality in Wesley Hall. 

It is an opportunity for men to get to know one another and discuss the nature of the Men’s Group going forward.  Sign up at Connections Table.



The 10th Annual Northwest Regional Men’s Retreat will be held June 1 - 3
Alton L. Collins Retreat Center, Eagle Creek, OR. The program will focus on the teachings and ideas in Friar Richard Rohr's book, Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life.

38th Annual Hunger Walk & 5K Run
Fort Steilacoom Park at Waughop Lake, Lakewood
Saturday, May 5
Sponsored by the Emergency Food Network

Check in starts at 6:30 a.m. 
5K chip-timed run begins at 8 a.m.; Walk starts at 9 a.m.
Family-friendly activities and live music are provided at the start/finish line.
Proceeds go to reducing the food insecurity and hunger in Tacoma.
If we have five or more registrants, we qualify for “Team Pricing.”

Mindfulness Meditation Practice & Discussion

Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8 pm 

The Meditation Class will meet at the Spire on the first Wednesday of each Month.

"Change for Change" 

Collect your spare change and bring it the first Sunday of each month for the remainder of the year. 
Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to support local community needs, and 50% will go into our growth fund.
