Michele Zwosta has been attending Unity for more than 20 years. She has been part of the Unity of South Sound Community for several years. Michele brings to the Board many skills gained in life and her professional career, including: conscious leadership, prosperity consciousness, gratitude attitude, strategic human resources, training and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation analysis, benefits administration, policy and procedure development, project conception to completion skills, and accounting skills. It is Michele's great joy to serve as Unity of South Sound's Board President. In serving, we gain so much more than what we give, and she is greatly blessed by her service to this community!

I currently work as a Child Forensic Interviewer and teach Yoga at the YMCA.  Previously, I worked in the mental health field as a case manager for jail transition programs.  I have also worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist, worked with people who had Alzheimer’s, and worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.

I have been an active member of Unity of South Sound for over 20 years. I have been on the board before and have been active with many of the service teams.  I also have two adult children who were raised within this community.

In my spare time, I am spending time with my dogs, reading spiritual or Yoga related literature, cooking healthy food or knitting.  I am excited for this opportunity to serve Unity of South Sound.

I have been involved with Unity for four decades now with the most recent decade here at Unity of South Sound. Throughout that time I have served my church community in many ways including: ushering & greeting, Board service, bookkeeper and more. It was through Unity that I was inspired to return to college in the mid-eighties and earn my MBA with an emphasis in accounting. I used these skills to work as a Third Party Plan Administrator for medium size businesses throughout the Northwest. Currently retired, I enjoy my gardens and serving Unity of South Sound as we move into the post-Covid era!

I am retired from 35 years of office and financial work, I am married, and now a housewife.

I wanted to be of service, and when asked if I would join the Board I saw it was a unique way to grow my spirituality. As Secretary of the Board, I am keeping a lot of skills I acquired on the computer. It has been a joy, and a gift serving Unity of Puget Sound.

My love for Unity and our teachings began many years ago at the young age of 7. I like to say, “I was raised up in Unity” and I am now raising my own family in Unity. This Spiritual Community welcomed our family into their arms back in 2014. This community is home now, and I am filled with gratitude when I think of all the beautiful souls here.

My service includes serving on the Annual Auction Team, Hospitality Team, and I currently serve on the Platform Assistants Team. Professionally, I hold the role of Deployment Consultant for the U.S. Initiative Planning and Deployment Team of McDonald’s Corp. I get to test and play with fun new products and initiatives which is both challenging and rewarding! I am a passionate lifelong learner and a champion of education and continuous learning. I am currently pursuing a business degree and love sharing what I learn with those around me, bringing them along on the journey of discovery.

God as I understand God, in my heart, is joy and love. The first time I attended a Unity service, I knew I was home. My life is guided my daily commitment to turning my will and life – my thought and my actions – over to God as I understand God, which is the natural flow of life. I try to incorporate and live the Unity principles in my life. My wife (Mallory) and I became members last year and have been attending services for close to 3 years.

I wish to serve on the Board merely as a trusted servant of our congregation. I believe strongly in giving my time, skill, and attention to others to get out of self and to grow spiritually. My goal is to serve with no special recognition or expectation of return to myself specifically.

I envision a congregation that is more deeply connected to each other and our community through love and service to others. I envision our church being involved in more community-oriented service, I envision and hold a vision of our financial abundance to serve our community and I envision a diverse and deeply committed congregation working toward spiritual growth and progress.
