Prayer Support

Unity uses “affirmative prayer.” Rather than begging, beseeching or bargaining with God, this method involves connecting with the spirit of God within and asserting positive beliefs about the desired outcome.

Affirmative prayer is the same method of prayer Jesus taught when he said, “So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).

Prayer Requests

Are you facing a challenge right now? The Unity of South Sound Prayer Chaplains are here for you. They provide prayer support after service on the first Sunday of the month, as well as through monthly wellness phone calls to members. If you are not a voting member and would like a monthly call, please contact the church office at 253-301-0385.

Written Prayer Requests

Forms are available to make written prayer requests on Sundays. Your request is held in prayer, and then sent to Silent Unity for an additional 30 days of prayer.  All prayer requests are confidential.

A Prayer for Peace

Resting in the calm presence of God, life is sweet and full.

I feel this peace growing within, and I am soothed and strengthened.

Nothing disturbs the calm peace of my soul.

I let go any distractions or busyness during this time of prayer.

I relax, let go, and let God.

God’s presence within me assures my center of perfect peace.

I rest now knowing that God is in charge.

Peace, be still.

A Prayer for Guidance

Divine light illuminates wisdom so my thoughts are clear and I allow God to guide me.

In the silence of prayer, I am assured that any decisions I make are coming from Divine Love as the One source of all I need.

I know that this love and wisdom works through me, as me, and it brings harmony, and confidence, and the ability to make right decisions now.

I am divinely directed to the path that leads to my highest and best outcome.

I give thanks that this is so.

Prayer for Protection

The light surrounds me

The love of God enfolds me

The Power of God protects me

The presence of God watches over me

Wherever I am, God is, and all is well.

Prayer Healing and Wholeness

I breathe in and know I am breathing in the healing energy of God, and this energy fills every cell in my body.

I am open and receptive to God’s love. I am one with God.

Every cell, tissue, and organ in my body is revitalized – I am whole and well, radiating health and well-being.

I am grateful. So it is.
